My name is Peter Tea, and I’ve been practicing the Art of Bonsai since 2003. While studying Bonsai, I came to the realization that to truly grasp Japanese aesthetics and style, I needed to continue my studies in Japan. Under the guidance of Junichiro Tanaka at Aichi-en Bonsai Garden in Nagoya, Japan, I embarked on a journey to comprehend Bonsai.

 

After completing my apprenticeship and returning to the US in 2013, I’ve been creating Bonsai and educating passionate enthusiasts across the country.

 

Bonsai is a lifelong journey for me, both challenging and rewarding. My focus in Bonsai is on traditional Japanese styles, techniques, and philosophy. Japanese culture has shaped modern Bonsai, and my team and I are dedicated to passing on this knowledge through my students, clients, and the Bonsai I create.
